White Horse Rugby Winter Touch Tournament
Thanks to a swell in interest from the Philly area, Philly Touch entered two Mixed Open sides into the White Horse Rugby Winter Touch Tournament on 10 Feb 2024. This is the first time that two sides from Philly Touch have been entered into a tourney and is testament to the sport’s growth in the area.
Both sides did extremely well with the second side putting in strong performances considering the numbers of newcomers and relatively short preparation.
The first side benefited from training in the lead up and qualified for the semi final of the championship division. They acquitted themselves well but eventually went down to a very fast and well drilled New York side. Both sides had loads of fun and it was a great foundation for more tourneys in the future.
